Make the comparison useful
Start with equivalent baskets from the same restaurant location. Item prices can differ between ordering channels, so enter each basket’s actual subtotal. Include the tax amount and every applicable charge shown before confirmation.
If a discount reduces an item price or a fee, enter the resulting amount for that line. Do not subtract it a second time. This notebook has no separate promotion or tax-rate calculation. The tip field is the dollar amount you choose, not a suggested percentage.
What the number leaves out
Time, convenience, the journey, and how the food may travel also matter. Add a travel or parking cost if it applies to your pickup option. Leave a field blank only when zero is appropriate or when you deliberately want to see a partial estimate.
